Moot point - often I delight in running into people from the past and seeeing they are still the same whilst I've grown and moved up and along...
Enny, I kinda agree. Though, sometimes while I feel I've moved up and along, I'm not always thrilled with where I am at, as it's not what I "envisioned"... ahh, life, that funny thing you don't really have any control over!

What if they meant a lot to you?
if they still mean something to you, you learn to accept the thing you hate...if not, you find a way to move on
If they meant a lot to you and they haven't changed then you haven't lost anything - that's why they're in your past.
